Women’s Shed Clonee – Celebrating Two Incredible Years!

It all begins with an idea.

Empowering Women, Building Community – Since January 2023

It’s hard to believe that just two years ago, in January 2023, the Women’s Shed Clonee was just an idea. Today, we are proud to be a vibrant, registered charity (since June 2023) and a thriving community of over 350 women.

A Look Back at Our Journey

What started as a dream to create a welcoming space for women to connect, learn, and grow together has blossomed into a hub of creativity, wellness, and friendship. From the very beginning, the goal was simple: to empower women of all ages and backgrounds by offering a place to belong, be inspired, and thrive.

Over the past two years, the Women’s Shed Clonee has become much more than a meeting place, it has become a place for sharing skills and knowledge and learning from each other.

What We’ve Been Up To

Thanks to the incredible enthusiasm of our members and the hard work of our volunteers and instructors, we’ve built a diverse calendar of weekly activities that cater to our individual members. Here’s just a glimpse at what’s been happening:

  • DIY & Sewing Workshops – Skill-sharing sessions that spark creativity and self-reliance

  • Creative Writing & Art Classes – Spaces for storytelling and self-expression

  • Yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba & Dancing – Movement and mindfulness for all levels

  • Photography & Garden Design – Capturing beauty and nurturing green spaces

  • Crochet & Choir – Crafting and singing in harmony

  • Sound Baths & Gym Classes – Holistic health and fitness for overall wellbeing

Looking Ahead

As we move into our third year, our vision remains bold and inclusive. We plan to expand our offerings, welcome even more members, and continue advocating for spaces that celebrate and support women in Clonee and beyond.

Whether you've been with us from the start or just joined yesterday, thank you. Your presence, your voice, and your energy make the Shed what it is.

Here’s to many more years of creativity, connection, and community.
